1. 这是和age搭配用的一种习惯使用方法，可以看作前面省略了of. 有没of都对，而且都容易见到。可以理解为后置定语。
2. quite常常用于修饰一个名词短语，特别是有形容词修饰的名词短语, 如：This was quite a farm in its day. It's quite a big room. 你的句子里的people虽然是名词，但起形容词用途，修饰person. 指喜欢和别人交际的人。
3.这里虽然是并列句，但没必要加and, 由于后面有个after which, 指的是前面议到的几种情形。而且，在文学作品里，有时作者从修辞角度考虑，为了句子有紧凑感，有时会出现用逗号分隔句子的现象。
但也有些版本把后面的after which改为and,使后面的几个分句信息并列出现。
